i think that kids should bring cell phones to school!
i know that it distacts us but i mean in lunch time and in ur free time in school! im in 6th grade and i got my first cell phone at age 10 becuz my parents though it was a good idea for me to get intouch with friends and im always on their cell phones and the house phone and it just got annoying to them cuz they needed to call other people to! and so i had to reason with them and it toke awhile but i got them to agree.
Cell phones r VERY useful cuz my friend has a cell phone and when she went home [she brought her cell phone to school] and her house was rob. so she was lucky she has her cell phone so she can call for help and she house doesn't have any neighboors like u have to walk 6 miles to see another house so she called her parents and they told her to go to a friend's house cuz the rober was still in there and so she called the cops. before going in to a friend's house and so yea she was very lucky that she got her cell phones with her. But many parents say they their child r not old enough for a phone and they're like 14 and 13 years old is that the real reason or they can't handel their little baby growing up?

The conventional wisdom will tell you that your reason to allow the use of cell phone out-weighed the other reason for disallowing it. Emergency (life and death) as against stealing. It should be allowed with strict management.

i think everyoneee should just chilll outt ,
about the cell phones being banned.
like what does it matter to anyone if we cheat ..
its our problem in the end anyway
and its not like they really have the right to take it away from us its not like they went out and bought it or anything .
kids like music it helps them focus , and for those who it doesnt help .
is anyone forcing them to listen to an ipod ? .. NO .
and its not even like anyone is disturbing the other students with their ipod or cell phone . unlesss their lame.
and pretty much nooone cares that the stupidd who ever made that rule cares.
so time to get a life.
and pick your battles over things that actually matter.

I believe cellphones should be allowed in school. Students should be allowed to bring their cell phones to school because you never know if your parents have an emergency or something important that your parents need to tell you. Its not really a bad thing to have your phones at school, its a matter of discipline, you can turn off your phone during discussion of your teacher.

Do we think it is only inside the classroom that student learn? If we are saying cell phones should not be allowed in the classroom because of attention, they should be banned at home also. Even, teachers should not use cell phones in the classroom, since they are role models to students. People that are saying cell phones should be banned in the classroom are already viewed students as "subjects" and "robots" in the classroom that must say "yes" to all the rules and regulations in the school, whether the rules will kill them or not.
Students also have rights to enjoy technology anywhere and everywhere. The use of cell phones by students in the classroom should be on vibration, a total switch while the lecture is going on. |
