I smoke weed because when I'm high I don't think about all the people who lie to me, When I'm high I don't think about the people who told me they loved me, right before they left me, when I'm high, it doesn't hurt to breath, or look in the mirror, when I'm high, I want to see tomorrow. |

kids smoke to get high. society has unjustly treated marijuana users in veracious ways and my question is when will it stop? in our lives we constantly hear about alcoholics coming home and beating their children or abusing their wife. marijuana users are in a large generality harmless people. legalize marijuana so that drug cartels will lose money and reduce gang violence in the cities. in addition the government can pull large sums of money and create new jobs and money in an economy that is reliant on new money coming in from other countries. all the government need to do is it monitor marijuana as they do weed. harmless people can go free and the police force can concentrate on violent criminals who rape and murder instead of popping 2 kids for selling a gram of what is the most harmless drug known to man.

Why do teens smoke weed? For the same reason that older people smoke cigarettes, drink alcohol, have casual sex and any other leisure activities. FEELS GOOD MAN.

Teens smoke weed because it feels good, man. Personally, I smoked weed before I ever touched tobacco. Teens wouldn't have such easy access to weed in the first place if we'd all just smoak moar.

I think this is a very funny topic. You see, most of you who are anti-weed claim "weed messes up your life" and stuff like that. Well let me tell you, YOU are the ones who shouldn't smoke weed. Why? Because you can hardly type a correct sentence. Is this how you people type your school papers? I sure hope not. Where is your punctuation? Where are your uppercase letters? Why is it that almost every other word is spelled wrong? You shouldn't smoke weed. Most of the people here who do smoke weed have given facts from studies and personal experience as to why weed isn't that bad for you (in well made paragraphs too) and all you people can say is "i tink teens smoke weed cuz it makes dem the kewlest and it juts hurts dem" WHAT IS THAT? You guys can't even make a legitimate argument yet you think that potheads are the stupid ones? Open your eyes you sheep. You just follow the crowd. Potheads don't smoke weed to fit in, they smoke weed because the like to. You people choose not to smoke weed because other people told you it was bad for you. So congratulations, you have now fallen to peer pressure and potheads haven't.

Some of these responses are so ridiculous it makes my spine tingle. I have met a good amount of people in my life who have never smoked weed, and their opinions are always the same. They haven't tried it and thus they do not understand it, and as most of you know: man fears what he does not understand. Let's take weed from a purely social standpoint and compare it with a legal drug, say, alcohol. I hate to use alcohol because it's such a cliche but for the sake of demonstration I believe it to be appropriate. I won't go into statistics with it because I'm just talking about the social aspect of the two drugs.
A man comes home from a local bar at around 3 o'clock in the morning, quite inebriated, to find his wife in bed with another man. The alcohol in his system is corroding his mind, his thoughts are disorganized and his motor functions are clumsy (these are common effects from alcohol). He can't comprehend his wife in bed with another man, and the alcohol in his system reminds him of the bulge in his front pocket, his .45 caliber pistol. There doesn't seem to be any other option (the alcohol doesn't give him time to think that maybe he should see a counselor, or sit down with his wife, or take some time apart, then the alcohol reminds him that he may have to end his marriage which could be disastrous and take time, he thinks about his home, and his stable life because of the family that he has) so he decides to shoot the man in his bed with his wife, and subsequently shoot his wife because she witnessed the murder. The man is now left with two dead bodies and a gun in his hand, so the only logical option is to take his own life.
Now we have a man who comes home from a local cannabis club, after smoking a bowl a few minutes prior. His driving is not 100%, but he is able to focus on it enough to get home. He comes into his bedroom to see his wife in bed with another man. He is infuriated, but the THC in his system slows down his thoughts and allows him time to clarify the situation. He remembers the gun in his front pocket, but as he reaches for it he thinks for a moment about all of the other possibilities to resolve the situation. The THC in the man's system helps him come to the realization that he and his wife have problems that can be fixed. The man tells the man in his bed to get out of the house, and sees a therapist the following day.
These are made up situations of course, but I'm only using the common effects that the drugs are known to give. Even the most sadistic enraged person could smoked weed and feel okay about his/her problems. Yes it's temporary, but nothing great lasts forever. Hell, most great things are quite short lived. We all know that marijuana has its negative effects, and we all know that "giving in" is somehow a sign of weakness, but refusing to try a drug altogether is just as weak. You're still allowing the drug to control you if you never try it, it's just a different form of control. Open your mind and realize that there is no logic behind the opposition of marijuana. |

I'm a teen &I smoke because of all the pressure I face. &I see all of my peers do it &I really wanna be cool and fit in. Also, it helps me feel better and it helps me hide the pain. &I do it to make my parents notice me.

Why would you smoke weed. Yea it might not be any of our business but still, it's not just effecting you, it's effecting everybody else you love and who loves you. You could die from smoking weed. It's really a serious matter. But if you want to get gum disease, secondhand smoke, and bronchitis, gone on ahead, but while you are lying in your casket, you will know why. But, just remember, YOU WILL BE SORRY THAT YOU'VE EVER SMOKED IN YOUR WHOLE ENTIRE LIFE. But, on the real deal, it's not making you cooler, it's making you a bigger loser .
