I didn't know the USA supported the IRA ( terrorism) That is shocking
To think our British soldiers are fighting in afghan and Iraq with the USA to stamp out terrorism , yet they supported the IRA. There's no words for it .
Look at this whole Gorden brown thing as well , He gives the president 2 items that mean a lot to the British people and symbolizes a friendship and he throws it back in our faces with a bunch of worthless DVDs, Who the heck does he think he is ( i know hes the president of the USA). He should show some respect to his allies, because he mite just lose them.

Once again. Mistakes of our past. And to Fione(very beautiful name by the way), I'm also from California but I was born here. You should label every single American as ignorant and/or arrogant. YES, some Americans ARE VERY ignorant and just flap their mouths and say" oh the US is the best" and all of that nonsense. But it's their choice by being that way. Others should not be labeled because of another persons actions. There is a German student at my school who's name is Christian but we call him Chris. We do not alienate him. We befriended him and now he has a boatload of friends. Then there's another kid from England. His name is Zappa. He has a lot of friends and helps to make the school newspaper. If other countries really want to see a change then they have to contribute too and give us a chance to show and prove that we have changed. When we are attacked with namecalling, it just turns into a feeding frenzy, but when we try to defend ourselves it seems as if we just get blown off and just get called an average stupid American? Do you? NO. You don't. Try being born into a country in which almost every other country hates. Well it's too late for that. We only seem aggressive because when we try to defend ourselves, everyone just thinks that all we want to do is fight.

And you will see it wasnt actually america who invented it! You also mentioned space travel, didnt the Russians beat you to it?
Now before you get your knickers in a twist , sorry panties as you say i couldn't really care less at the end of the day inventions have been made by numerous inventors from every country in the world.
And when all is said and done here is a sobering thought for you! if my life span is 100 years thats 100* 365 days which equals 36500 days ( not a long time? ) after that it doesnt really matter wether your English, American Or Chinese, You wont be here. So why argue and fall out with people whoever they are? Yes America has made lots of good inventions, so has many other countries. SO why not just enjoy them while your here?

People hate America because it simply has too much power and does not deserve it. If the US has a problem then it starts a war with that country. Furthermore it does not go in where it is actually needed eg Rwanda 1994. What many people find annoying about the US is that their own culture has been Americanised. Their own governments on an international level follow closely with what the US' policy is on that topic. People hate this as it means that they have no say in the matter at all.
Another thing people hate about America its culture and mindset. The whole of the American culture is based on greed and that it was this greed which put the whole world into a recession.
American culture is also reducing the amount of culture other countries have. All round the world, you find American TV shows and films being shown not the ones which are made in that country. You also find American shops everywhere despite them being rubbish. This stops local shops and thus damages the local economy.
People hate in essence hate America because they find it to be too imperialistic. Nobody likes having another persons views pressed on them. The US may not have an official empire but it influence is strong throughout the world nevertheless. |

I am an american, i have lots of uk friends and people from other countrys, if i can make friends with all diffrent people, and not be shunned cuz im an american then why does every1 hate me. We the people of america can not speak out agaisnt our Govt. the Govt controls us. dont be mad at us for what the people did not do but what the govt. did. The people of america want good things, the government just cant stop lieing. I think people hate us becuse they think if our government are gayholes then must be, and thats just not right, it be like me saying germans suck becuse they went to war wqith us so i hate them, NO, peopel make choices and its there choices make the future |

This is just to support what Cory said. There is an urgent need to differentiate between citizens of a country and their government. Let us assume that truly the world hate the USA, then the world should hate every other country under this planet, earth. It is wrong to hate a country that cannot speak for itself. It is also wrong to hate the citizens of a country because no matter how monstrous and dangerous they are, they are products of certain defective system. Who usually creates the system and policy that guides the system? The answer is the government- policy makers, lawmakers, lobbyists etc. This question guide can be reframed as follows: Why Does The World Hate The US government? Why Does The World Hate The British government? Why Does The World Hate the Nigerian government? In answering these questions, one will find many US citizens, as part of the world, who hate the US government. So also Britons and Nigerians who hate their governments. |
