Relief in World Hunger

There are genuinely sufficient resources in the world to ensure that no one, nowhere, at no time, should go hungry. Ed Anser

Americans like to turn a blind eye to what is really happening in this world. There are millions of people going to bed hungry and not knowing where their next meal is going to be from. America has some of the biggest people in the world living here, we need to stop shoving food in our faces and help other people that go hungry every day. Every year 15 million children die of hunger. (Think quest World Hunger) This is a number that needs to go down. There is no reason for this to be happening. There are so many people on this Earth that could help but just dont. We need people that are willing to help stop this. I understand that not everyone has a lot of money to be giving out but if once or twice a year they would just send $20.00 or so to a hunger relief organization it would help out a lot. I think that a lot of people dont help because they dont know how to help. We need to help inform the citizens of American how to help. Some people are afraid to help out, and it does not have to be scary you can get friend and family together to help out and it makes it easier for everyone and when you are done volunteering you can feel like you have made a difference and if you have kids that come with you to help they get to learn about helping relief world hunger and they can continue to help out and volunteer as they grow up.

Does anyone care that decades after we burned our bras, media images of women are still sexist and demeaning? Or that we still earn only a fraction of what men do? Or that old women are portrayed as silly or demented or useless?
I just wonder: where are all those bra-burners today?

As some of you know, Ive been working on an issue guide with Mary Menzel at the California Center for the Book for NIF-style conversations across the state concerning our California water dilemmas. She had a graphic designer work with the text I wroteand Im really pleased with how it turned out. Ive tried some new features in the writing of this issue guide, mostly because the issue required some adjustments but also because we wanted to make the issue guide as user-friendly and inviting as possible. communities around the Mexican U.S. Border Fence

Hi, everyone! I'm new to this forum and could use some help from anyone who may be willing to answer some questions. I'm taking a class in anthropology and we are discussing the Mexican U.S. Border fence--particularly the communities and environmental issues on both sides of the fence. 1.) Do you live or have you lived in the community near the border fence? 2.) How do you feel this will affect people on either side? 3.) Do you think the border fence is a good idea? 4.) What do you think about families that are cut off from each other on the other side? 5.) Do you feel this will secure the border and stop drug trafficing and illegal immigration? 6.) Do you think there is a better solution? Finally, any additional comments you might have. Please give me a bit of professional background about yourself if you would. I'm 18 years old and lesbian, but througout my day 's i see the cutest couples ever, and i wish i had that. But then i think that i'm not to pretty enough. why do i feel like that?

20 USC 1091b misused and abused.

Oakland University Rochester Michigan set a last date to withdraw from classes in Winter 2004 on the 60% day causing the calculations as dictated by 20 USC 1091b necessary and from what I have learned they have done this continually since 2004. The problem is that the intent and spirit of this law when written was to provide a refund of unearned tuition and fees to the Student's loan program. However, this University has charged students on a due on demand the amount that was returned to the Federal program. This is in violation of the spirit and intent of the law as it was written and even when revised in 1998. It would make no logical sense to have this calculation if it was meant that the University could then charge and demand immediate payment without the protections of the promissory note which gives exceptions and deferments for disability and economic hardship. The entire process of the calculations would negate the idea that the amount returned on the student's behalf be then charged back to the student as it is considered to be unearned tuition.

High School Student Stores

With new nutrition laws being discussed and legislated each day, students stores must abide by the laws set and only sell products thats qualify for retail under the new bills. Oregon House Bill 2650 restricts snacks that are considered too great a portion of the recommendend daily intake. Unapproved inventory was taken off the shelves and replaced with the less appealing healthy products. A recent survey was sent to every high school in Oregon was various questions concerning products, challenges and flucuation in sales. The results of the survey returned a jaw-dropping 85% of stores suffered a decrease in sales from previous years. To keep student stores in business is vital to the experiences students have the oppertunity to recieve while attending high school. Stores offer students work experience as well as fund extra-cirricular activites. The question remains How can we help student stores in business? It is crucial that store organizations are knowledgable about vendors, products, promotions and strategies that will increase sales within the store.

Most Teens smoke weed because either their friends do or maybe there parents and they think nothing is wrong with it. Weed is a habbit not a addiction ( no from experience ). There's nothing wrong with weed I am 18 and have been smoking since i was 13 and having stoped for no reason. I also have all A's and B's and play all sports and weed does not effect me from doing any of that. So teens that want to experience smoking weed i am right there with you go for it. It's nothing like it you will love it

THE REALITY IS THAT THE COMPETITION IS GLOBAL AND MY RESUME STANDS OUT BUT IT GETS LOST IN THE 100,000 APPLICATIONS PER HOUR FROM INDIA. HOW DO I GET AROUND THIS SATURATION.
