Secondly, they had bomb sniffing dogs, and the FBI come in a search the school top to bottom without any results. One thing that the school did that I thought was bad, was even while threats were still coming, they had school in session. There was a steady stream of threats coming from an over seas server. The school administrators decided to call the bluff and have school. I was one of the unlucky few that had to go the school that day, very few people were at school that day. If this were to happen to any other school, I feel that they should keep the school closed until they are absolutely positive there is not a threat, or until the person making the threats is caught. While school resumed, students were not allowed to carry book bags with them. Although a few students did get in with their bags, only a few of them were searched and checked for anything that could be dangerous. Not checking everyone's bag means that if someone wanted to bring a bomb into the school, they could have. The point of this is to aware people of the intent of others and hopefully cause some more appropriate action to be taken in case this tragedy were to happen again.

I think that is great, but whether we drill our own oil, or buy it from other countries does not change the impact on the environment. (AFP) By drilling on our own oil reserves, we will no longer have to suffer such high prices for crude oil, and the people of America can spend their money on things that will stimulate the economy.

America owns an estimated 139 billion barrels of oil, yet our leaders in Washington insist on buying oil from hostile middle- eastern countries that have less oil than we do. The present worldwide economic turmoil is the current focus of attention. That being said does it not make sense to lower prices of fuel to increase cash flow in our own economy? History has shown this recession will pass, and once it does oil will once again be our main concern. With prices rising to $150 a barrel or more as they did in 2008, Right now, March 2012, much of the global economy is weak and crude oil is still over $100 a barrel!

Estimates of undiscovered oil, as cited in Chapter 5 of the U.S. National Energy Policy, amount to 39.1 billion barrels including reserves in the Arctic Outer Continental Shelf. If America were to utilize this oil, and the estimated 139 billion other barrels, not to mention the 64.5 billion dollars worth of oil held in the strategic petroleum reserves America would be sitting easy. “For how long”, you ask? How does 165 days on the US. Oil reserves alone, Experts can't agree on how much oil is left, but some say if we were to tap American oil it would last us until the year 2110, and that’s our oil alone!

Not only that, but advances are being made in the fields of biofuels. The most promising technology is Biofuel, which is an alternative renewable diesel, gasoline, or jet fuel made from algae. Biofuels can be burned in existing engines without any major modifications. Although biodiesel can be made from almost any vegetable feedstock (soybean, rapeseed, mustard, jatropha, palm oil), the highest yield feedstock for biodiesel is algae, which can produce 250 times the amount of oil per acre as soybeans. That’s abut 10 million every second. cigarettes cause more then 1/5 of American deaths per year. On average 1 of every 3 men smoke. There are many reasons I hate smoking, it ruins families and your health, and its just an over all bad habit to pertain.

Second hand smoking is more harmful then when you smoke alone. When you or someone else in the house smokes, it emits out ton of harmful chemicals. They hurt others as much as they hurt you, if not more the n the direct smoke you inhale. Kids as young as 2 can get addicted to cigarettes if you smoke around them. They inhale the smoke and it contains nicotine Second hand smoking ruins families. It can give anyone asthma, lung problems, and even ear infections. Smoking doesn’t only affect you, it harms your pets as well. One of the reasons pets die at an early age is because they take into much of the gasses and chemicals your cigarette lets out. So if you want your loved animal to live a more healthy life, don’t smoke around them!

Smoking makes you have a dirty house. It makes everything you have grouse and disgusting. The ashes you get from smoking go everywhere. Especially if you end up spilling your ash tray. Then there is all the stains on your walls from the nicotine Also there are the stains that get on your teeth and are permeate. Terrible to get rid of.. The smell of the cig can make some people mad, upset or very angry. The smell is very hard to get rid of. It sticks to your skin and clothes and wont come off, no matter how hard you try. When you go into public and people smell the smoke you sometimes get weird looks. People can smell it from far away. Even if you don’t smoke and your parents are the ones who smoke people might think its you.

The price it cost to smoke is ridiculous, more then a gallon of gas! One pack of cigs cost about $ 5.00, possibly more then that! Whereas a gallon of gas cost $3.64. The taxes on them are going up drastically. In the state of Illinois, the taxes are going up by an entire dollar! In my own opinion, i don’t believe smoking is worth wasting the money. You can easily spend it on something more worth it! Cigarettes are not worth the result in the end. You can use other things to satisfy your needs, or you don’t have to use any type of tobacco product! They all just make your life a living hell when you don’t have them!

One result of smoking is cancer. In the end you will more then likely get cancer, probably of the lungs. The bills for the cancer is ridiculous! By the time your 100% cured, you’re going to be in debt. Hospitals aren't cheap, but there are some special ones that know how expensive the treatment is so they cut down the cost. Those hospitals are mostly for kids, or young adults. The most expensive ting other then the stay t the hospital is the treatment for the cancer and the chemo. The radiation and medicine is right up there in cost. The worst part about getting cancer is being away from your family fro months at a time. If you can stop them from smoking, then stop them! Smoking is the leading cause of premature deaths in the United States.

The majority of smokers are teen aged kids. They start at an early age and websites say, the kids who start at a young age are the kids who smoke for at least 15-20 years after they start. How ever the earlier they start is the way doctors figure out how long one is going to smoke. Most teens or young adults see commercials on TV, or hear an advertisement on the radio and say famous people smoke so it’s cool for other people to do it. The truth about the actors, most of the time their cigarette is fake. Smoking is grouse. Teenagers and young adults should not be smoking. They have more of an advantage to get cancer, but an easier time trying to fight it off because there immune system is stronger then one of an older adult. If you do by chance get cancer the likely possibility it will come back is great. Just because you can get rid of it once doesn’t mean it wont ever come back! Most teens tend to start smoking when they are around their friends. Since they are not old enough to buy their own, they either steal them from their parents or have someone who is of age go and buy the cigarettes for them.

Work sited Page

American Cancer Society http://www.cancer.org/

Here are some tips:

1. Quench your thirst first before you take any alcoholic drink. The reason is that you will drink more alcohol if you are thirsty.

2. Ensure your stomach is full before or while drinking. You will drink more if you are hungry.

3. Avoid salty foods while drinking. It will make you feel thirsty and make you drink more than you planned.

4. Avoid drinking on rounds or shouts because you will be pressured to drink more. If you drink, it should be at your own controlled pace.
